Water Tanks & Level Monitoring
This section explains the water tank configuration installed in the BreathTrailer, including fresh water storage, grey water collection, and level monitoring.
Proper understanding of the water tanks ensures reliable water supply and responsible waste management while camping.
Water Tank Overview
The BreathTrailer is equipped with two water tanks mounted underneath the trailer:
- Fresh Water Tank (Clean Water)
- Grey Water Tank (Waste Water)
Each tank is designed for its specific purpose and must be used correctly.
Fresh Water Tank
The fresh water tank stores clean water for:
- Kitchen sink
- Shower
- General water use
Features
- Dedicated drain valve
- Level float sensor
- Breather (overflow) valve
Tank Breather (Overflow)
The fresh water tank includes a breather valve.
✔️ It is normal for water to drip or leak slightly from the breather once the tank is completely full.
This indicates that the tank has reached maximum capacity and is functioning correctly.
Grey Water Tank
The grey water tank collects used water from:
- Kitchen sink
- Shower
- Other water outlets
Features
- Dedicated drain valve
- Level float sensor
⚠️ Grey water must be disposed of at approved dump points only.
Water Level Monitoring
Both water tanks are fitted with level float sensors.
- Water levels can be checked inside the kitchen area of the trailer
- The display allows monitoring of both fresh and grey water levels
Monitoring tank levels helps prevent: - Running out of fresh water - Overfilling the grey water tank
Draining the Water Tanks
Both tanks can be drained when required.
When to Drain
- After camping trips
- Before long-term storage
- When grey water tank is full
- When winterising or cleaning the system
Drain Valve Operation
- Locate the drain valves underneath the trailer
- Open the appropriate valve to drain the tank
- Ensure valves are fully closed after draining
Important Notes
- Do not allow the fresh water tank to run completely dry when the pump is ON.
- Do not overfill the grey water tank.
- Always dispose of grey water responsibly.
- Regularly check drain valves for leaks or damage.
Correct use and monitoring of the water tanks ensures reliable water supply, system longevity, and environmentally responsible operation of your BreathTrailer.
