This section explains the operation and safe use of the KickAss 6L Portable Instant Gas Hot Water System installed in the BreathTrailer.
The system is designed to provide instant hot water for showering and general use while camping or off-grid.
System Overview
The BreathTrailer is equipped with a KickAss 6L tank-less instant gas hot water system.

The system heats water only when it is flowing, providing hot water on demand.

Water Supply Options
The hot water system can be supplied with water using:
- Mains water via hose connection
- 12V pressure water pump connected to a water tank
⚠️ Important:
The water pump must be turned ON for the hot water system to operate.
Gas Requirements
- LPG gas cylinder is required (not supplied)
- The system uses a new-style Australian-standard gas connection
- Gas regulator and approved LPG hose are required
Gas Connector Compatibility
Gas cylinders manufactured or tested after 01/04/2022 must use the new-style connector.
If an older gas bottle is used, it must be exchanged for a compatible cylinder at a swap-and-go centre.
How to Use the Hot Water System
Follow these steps to operate the system:
- Ensure the water source is connected (mains water or water tank).
- Turn the 12V water pump ON.
- Connect the LPG gas cylinder and ensure the valve is open.
- Turn the hot water system ON.
- Open the shower head or tap.
- Adjust water flow and temperature as required.
Hot water will be supplied instantly when water is flowing.
Safety Guidelines
- Never operate the hot water system without water flow.
- Do not operate the system in enclosed or poorly ventilated spaces.
- Always ensure gas connections are secure before use.
- Turn off the gas supply when the system is not in use.
- Allow the unit to cool before handling or storage.

Maintenance & Care
- Inspect gas hoses and connections regularly.
- Keep the unit clean and free from dust or debris.
- Drain water from the system when not in use or before storage.
- Store the unit in a dry, well-ventilated area.
