Inverter & City Power (240V System)

This section explains how 240V power is supplied in the BreathTrailer and how to correctly select between inverter power and camp site (City Power) electricity.

Correct use of the 240V system is essential to prevent overloads, system shutdowns, and equipment damage.

240V Power Overview

The BreathTrailer can supply 240V power using two different sources:

  • Battery Power (Inverter Mode)
  • Camp Site Power (City Power Mode)

Only one power source is active at a time, depending on the selector switch position.

Power Source Selector Switch

A power selector switch is installed at the front of the trailer, inside the trailer box.

Switch Positions

Switch Position Power Source
Battery Inverter (12V → 240V)
City Power Camp site electricity

⚠️ Always confirm the switch position before using any 240V outlet.

Inverter Mode (Battery Power)

When the switch is set to Battery, 240V power is supplied by the inverter.

How Inverter Mode Works

  • Converts 12V battery power into 240V AC
  • Suitable for low to medium power appliances
  • Ideal for off-grid operation

How to Use Inverter Mode

  1. Ensure the battery system is ON.
  2. Set the power selector switch to Battery.
  3. Turn the inverter ON.
  4. Use the 240V outlets as required.

Inverter Power Limitations

The inverter has a maximum power output.

⚠️ The following high-power appliances must not be used with the inverter: - Kettles - Heaters - Air fryers - Hair dryers

Using these appliances will overload the inverter and cause automatic shutdown.

City Power Mode (Camp Site Power)

When connected to camp site electricity, 240V power can be supplied directly to the trailer.

How to Use City Power Mode

  1. Connect the supplied 15A power lead to the camp site outlet.
  2. Plug the lead into the trailer box power inlet.
  3. Set the power selector switch to City Power.
  4. 240V outlets inside the trailer will be powered directly from the camp site.
