Battery Charging

This section explains all available battery charging methods installed in the BreathTrailer.

The trailer is designed to keep the battery charged automatically whenever possible, reducing the need for manual intervention.

Battery Charging Overview

The BreathTrailer battery can be charged using multiple power sources:

  • Roof-mounted solar panel
  • Camp site (City Power) electricity
  • Optional external solar blanket

Charging is managed automatically by the installed charging systems.

Solar Charging (Primary Source)

The primary charging source is the solar panel mounted on top of the trailer.

  • The battery is charged continuously whenever sunlight is available.
  • Solar charging starts and stops automatically.
  • No user setup or configuration is required.

☀️ Solar charging operates only when sufficient sunlight is present.

Camp Site Power Charging (City Power)

The battery can also be charged using camp site electricity.

Installed Battery Charger

A 22A / 32A battery charger is installed inside the trailer box.

How to Charge Using Camp Site Power

  1. Connect the supplied 15A power lead to the camp site outlet.
  2. Plug the other end into the trailer box power inlet.
  3. Battery charging will start automatically.

✔️ The battery charger manages charging safely and efficiently.

Charging While Towing

When the trailer is connected to the tow vehicle, the battery may receive supplementary charging depending on the installed system configuration.

Charging Status

  • Battery status can be checked on the battery box display.
  • Charging occurs automatically based on available power sources.

Important Notes

  • Multiple charging sources can operate simultaneously (for example, solar and camp site power).
  • Charging systems are designed to protect the battery from overcharging.
  • Do not connect unapproved chargers or power sources.

⚠️ Incorrect charging connections may damage the battery or charging system.

Proper battery charging ensures reliable operation of all 12V and 240V systems installed in your BreathTrailer.
